Tommy Caldwell grew up in Colorado. He has made dozens of notable ascents, and many consider him the best all-around rock climber in the world. In 2014 he was chosen as one of National Geographic's Adventurers of the Year, and in 2015 the American Alpine Club awarded him Lifetime Honorary Membership, its highest honor. Caldwell, a frequent contributor to Alpinist, Climbing, and Rock and Ice magazines, lives in the town where he first learned to climb, Estes Park, Colorado, with his wife and their son and daughter.

Wer sich für Klettern interessiert muß dieses Buch besitzen! Tommy zählt zu den besten Kletterer der Welt. Die Bezwingung der Dawn Wall spricht für sich!!! Das Buch war stets unterhaltsam, nie langweilig und gab einen richtig guten Einblick nicht nur ins Klettern sondern auch in sein Privatleben. Klare Kaufempfehlung!!!
The Push is more just a story about climbing and walls. It is a very well written stories about pushing your limits, pushing yourself to underpass the challenging and difficult situations, pushing your fears away.
An extraordinary account of Caldwell's climbing life so far. A humble, honest man that has climbed more mindblowing routes on big walls than you'd think possible. I admire Caldwell as much for this beautiful account as for his climbing.P.S.The book is co-authored by Kelly Cordes. You should read his brilliant work on Patagonia's Cerro Torre as well (»The Tower«).
